Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our non-profit organization as Board Members. This volunteer role offers an opportunity to contribute your expertise and leadership to a mission-driven organization committed to making a positive impact in the community. As a Board Member, you will play a vital role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting its overall growth and sustainability. Responsibilities • Participate actively in board meetings, providing insights and guidance on organizational policies and initiatives • Assist in developing and overseeing the organization’s strategic plan and long-term goals • Review and approve annual budgets, financial reports, and major expenditures to ensure fiscal health • Support fundraising efforts by leveraging personal networks and engaging in donor development activities • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards • Advocate for the organization’s mission within the community and promote awareness of its programs and services • Utilize financial software tools to review financial data, monitor budgets, and support financial decision-making Compensation: - Performance Based Monthly Bonus - Grants Received for Business Start-Ups Requirements • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the organization • Prior experience with non-profit governance or leadership is preferred • Strong understanding of financial software applications is highly desirable • Ability to contribute strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative attitude • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders • Willingness to dedicate time for meetings, committee participation, and organizational events • No prior specific educational background required; passion for community service is essential Job Type: Contract Pay: $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year Benefits: • Employee discount • Expense account • Flexible spending account • Paid time off • Paid training • Professional development assistance • Referral program • Retirement plan • Travel reimbursement • Tuition reimbursement • Work from home Work Location: Remote
