Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Programs & Operations Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as Core Staff on a multi-site healthcare improvement and accreditation support program. This role provides hands-on expertise in healthcare operations, program management, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement, supporting leadership teams through assessments, corrective action planning, implementation oversight, and operational stabilization. The SME will work closely with the Project Manager, Lead SME, and other Core SMEs to strengthen organizational effectiveness, operational governance, and compliance outcomes across healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities • Conduct operational and programmatic assessments across healthcare departments and service lines • Support gap analyses related to healthcare operations, governance, and management practices • Contribute to the development of corrective action plans (CAPs) addressing operational and compliance gaps • Provide hands-on mentoring and advisory support to executive leaders, managers, and department heads • Assist with CAP implementation oversight, milestone tracking, and progress monitoring • Support development and improvement of: • Operational workflows and processes • Governance structures and leadership accountability • Performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms • Participate in leadership meetings, workgroups, and progress briefings • Assist with survey readiness activities, mock reviews, and stabilization efforts • Prepare written analyses, tools, templates, and progress documentation • Coordinate closely with other SMEs to ensure integrated, sustainable solutions Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Operations Management, or a related field • 8–10 years of experience in: • Healthcare operations or program management • Hospital or health system leadership or consulting • Healthcare compliance, performance improvement, or accreditation support • Demonstrated experience working directly with healthcare leadership teams • Strong understanding of healthcare operational workflows and management practices • Ability to analyze complex operational issues and develop practical solutions • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-site environments Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree (MHA, MPH, MBA, or related discipline) • Experience supporting: • Accreditation readiness or recovery initiatives • Quality improvement or performance management programs • Healthcare organizations in rural or underserved settings • Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation frameworks affecting hospitals • Experience in advisory or consulting roles within healthcare environments • Skills that are preferred, but not required: • Curiosity • Assertiveness • A love of IT and/or technology • Proficiency with Gmail, Google Docs, Slack, and internal LES tools. Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $70.00 - $100.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
