Our client, a wealth management and planning practice in Nashville, is hiring a Practice Director. Job Overview: The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team to achieve the highest levels of productivity, operating efficiency, client experience and profitability of the firm. This role reports directly to the Partners and is part of the firm’s leadership team, allowing the owners/wealth management advisors to stay focused on client relationships. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, detailed oriented and has experience in financial services or coming from professional services firm. Primary Responsibilities: (but not limited to): • Ownership over all systems and processes in the practice as it relates to infrastructure, staff and compliance of the firm. The Director of Operations should be able to develop, implement and monitor work-flows. They should also be able to step into the day to day work when necessary to assist employees and ensure the work gets done. • Manage the current employees and lead the talent strategy for the firm. • Build agendas and run team meetings. This includes preparation, communication and follow up. • The Director of Operations will be the point of contact for services, communications and other matters related to the platform company’s corporate and local office. • Work on various projects for the firm including client segmentation, integrated investment models, service models and other strategic work. • The Director of Operations should be proactive in ensuring confidentiality and compliance in the practice along with ensuring the proper tracking of data, client information and other metrics vital to the firm. • The Director of Operations will have involvement in marketing and technology for the practice as well. This can include client events, social media and other projects to enhance the client experience and firm awareness. • The Director of Operations should be proactive in their own professional development and ongoing learning when it comes to building teams, processes and the financial planning process. • Handle all vendor management for the firm. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • 5+ Years of experience in an operations role • Preferred in a planning or wealth management practice • Life and Health licenses, FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses • Demonstrated high ethical and professional standards • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and on a team • Skilled in building processes, attention to detail and proactive problem solving • Experience with hiring and employee coach • Strong proficiency in technology and Microsoft Products • Ability to be on-site 4 days per week $135,000 to $160,000 depending on experience.
