Overview LSAC’s mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairness in law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice. Pay rate: $87,000 to $94,000, depending on experience As a member of the Infrastructure Team, the Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the administration and operational support of enterprise infrastructure platforms. The infrastructure includes Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365 suite, Azure, Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, disaster recovery and the overall network infrastructure. Infrastructure Engineers are responsible for maintaining patch management systems, monitoring and daily maintenance of the physical and virtual infrastructure. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for participating in team planning, development and implementation of networking systems. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for documentation of systems, components, maintenance and support of on-premise and cloud-based systems. The individual employed in this position will be required to: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Provide support and maintenance of the network environment and security platforms Monitor the infrastructure and respond to issues and problems Proactively recommend and implement processes improvements Work closely with developers and consultants in assessing needs and supporting goals Responsible for maintenance and support of servers, hosts and virtual machines Provide off-hours support for the network environment, customers and employees when required Implement solutions designed by senior engineers and architects Resolve infrastructure incidents and problems Perform upgrades, patching, monitoring, and maintenance Participate in technology projects Create and maintain documentation Escalate complex issues Work within established standards Execute approved designs Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management, prioritization, attention to detail and organization skills Follows established processes and procedures Resolves standard and moderately complex incidents independently Contributes to technical projects and infrastructure initiatives Escalates exceptions, major incidents, and high-risk changes for review and approval Resolves standard to moderately complex infrastructure incidents and problems Supports established infrastructure platforms, standards, and operational practices Completes assigned project tasks, maintenance activities, and operational responsibilities on schedule Contributes to infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing Works under general supervision while exercising sound judgment within defined guidelines Collaborates closely with Infrastructure teammates, developers, consultants, and cross‑functional partners Adapts to changing priorities and participates in continuous improvement efforts Problem solving and analysis skills Ability to exercise excellent judgment Possess a positive attitude and demeanor Proactive approach to problem solving Be a team player and flexible to shift priorities as work dictates Ability to multitask Qualifications Education and Experience A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical degree Technical experience with 3-5 years of experience in network technology environments Experience working with Office 365, Azure, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Hyper-V and Exchange Server Knowledge of internet connectivity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, high availability and patch management Supervisory Responsibilities This role does not have people management responsibilities Position Type The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner. Work Environment This job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Travel Requirements Up to 5% of travel is required for this position. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must write, talk, hear, read, and communicate effectively. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are often required to squat and lift/carry up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift and install servers or other networking equipment.
