JD degree, active California bar membership, and 2-6 years litigation or insurance defense experience preferred.
Job Title: Associate Defense Attorney Location: Remote – California (Must be CA-barred) Key Responsibilities: • Manage a caseload of civil defense matters, including general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and/or insurance defense. • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents. • Conduct depositions, legal research, and case evaluations. • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing. • 2–6 years of litigation or insurance defense experience preferred. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 – $220,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
