Full Description

At Launchpoint, you’re part of a high-output, zero-bullsh*t unit tasked with delivering flawless builds, pushing technical boundaries, and setting the standard for excellence. Your mandate: improve every single day. No excuses. If you’re new, that means adapt fast. Earn trust. Build mastery. Prove your value through delivery. Nobody owes you ramp time, you’re either leveling up or falling behind. If you’re already a high performer? You own the standard. You lead from the front. You raise the bar for the entire technology team. You never coast. As Shopify Developer & Web Experience Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development of scalable, high-performance e-commerce solutions for our clients while also owning the ongoing evolution of Launchpoint’s internal web presence. This role includes full-stack Shopify development, maintenance of our internal marketing site, and technical leadership for contractors and future team members. You’ll contribute to technical strategy, participate in project planning, and ensure execution meets the high standards our clients and internal stakeholders expect. That comes with high expectations across delivery, communication, and self-management. Below are non-negotiable standards for success in this role: 1. Think Beyond the Brief Don’t wait for someone else (Account Strategist, HR, Design, or others) to figure out tools, integrations, or solutions. If something is unclear or blocking progress, ask questions, explore options, and make proposals. If you’re stuck, go to the Engineering Director. But do not let yourself stall or spin in place for days. 2. Project Manage Yourself (and Others) There is no dedicated PM. That means: You must own timelines and keep others accountable. Follow up, ping, and re-ping the team when you’re waiting on content, designs, or decisions. You’re responsible for moving your work forward, even when others aren’t responsive. 3. Deliver On Time. Period. When a project is scoped, you own the timeline. Give a clear ETA, then hit the deadline. If something is going to cause a delay (client inaction, missing assets, unclear direction): Tag everyone involved in Slack or project threads. Be explicit: "If I don’t receive X by [date], this deadline will be missed." We expect transparency and proactive communication, not surprises. 4. Over-Communicate with Context Many projects involve multiple people (internal and external.) Always tag all relevant people in chats, updates, and threads. Bottom Line: You're not just a developer, we’re hiring you as a builder, problem-solver, and leader. This role doesn’t work unless you: Drive projects forward Stay proactive and loud about blockers Own outcomes, from kickoff through QA if you’re ready to bring your best, push limits, and deliver at the highest level, then we want you here. Show us what you can do. Apply now!
