You will also be selling program sponsorships for our Accelerator programs Founder University, Angel University, LAUNCH Accelerator, and Startup Tuneup, and be responsible for scaling our new programs Get Startup Credits and Get Startup Leads. The position is in person, in Austin, TX. We’re a fast-paced, no-holds-barred team building at the intersection of startups, media, and venture. Our programs and media products reach tens of thousands of early-stage founders and investors. The Role As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for driving new business and further penetrating our existing advertiser base. You’ll master podcast ad selling and develop trusted relationships with early-stage marketing professionals and startup leaders This is a hunter role: you’ll be expected to penetrate new accounts, source and close deals, and consistently meet and exceed quota. You’ll be working alongside a young, energetic team who move fast, value creativity, and never say “that’s not my job”. Responsibilities • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing new deals. • Drive $1.5M in closed-won revenue annually (on-plan). • Build and manage a pipeline of startup and tech clients. • Sell podcast ads and integrated media packages that connect brands with early-stage founders. • Speak up early and often when you have ideas to bolster our ad offerings and ensure client success. • Maintain a consistent rhythm of outreach, meetings, and follow-ups to hit activity and revenue targets. What We're Looking For • 3+ years closing experience in media, advertising, or B2B sales. • Proven ability to prospect, penetrate, and win new accounts. • Strong track record of hitting or exceeding quotas in a hunter role. • Comfort selling into early-stage companies and speaking the language of marketing teams, founders and startup teams. • Ability to sell brand awareness as a growth strategy, believing in the mission and telling compelling stories that resonate with founders and early-stage companies. • Highly self-motivated, competitive, and energized by working in-office with a startup-minded team. • Bonus: familiarity with podcast advertising, digital media, or ad-tech.
