The program coordinator will lead on programming within LNAF and with organizational partners. They will also support the managing director with electoral field activities, organizational administrative tasks and communications. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leads development of organizing school with partner organization. • Grassroots organizing efforts including, storytelling training, testimony and advocacy training, turn-out for key civic events • Supports Executive Director and Managing Director in day to day operations and administrative tasks. • Collaborates with development team to support Latino Network Action Fund fundraising campaign and in grant writing, reporting, and required program participation. • Supports communications strategy and planning of LNAF’s social media. • Create and implement a base building field plan to build a database of supporters LNAF can politically activate and mobilize • Works with Advocacy Organizers and Director of Advocacy on cross organizational (c3/c4) events and community mobilization. • During active election cycles: • Supports endorsement request and processes from candidates • Provides bilingual support and training for in-person canvasses and phone/text banking events • Cultivates a volunteer base using the ladder of engagement • Manages Voter Action Network (VAN) data processes, keeping data up to date and pulling data as needed • Creates segmented lists for phone/text banks and cut turf for in-person canvassing • Leads other campaign activities such as get out the vote (GOTV), digital/virtual, and ballot assistance events Requirements SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE • Related unpaid or paid advocacy, political and organizing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • English and Spanish Bilingual proficiency required, ability to converse with staff and community members. • Ability to connect and communicate with interpersonally with various groups of people. • Ability to build trust within relationships and keep information confidential. • Must be able to travel to the Latino Network offices and other locations across the state as needed. • Ability to work weekends, late evenings, and flex work schedule as needed. • Excellent time management skills. • Basic understanding of c3/c4/state PAC compliance rules and regulations. • Experience using EveryAction and Voter Action Network (VAN) and campaign software such as ThruTalk, ThuText, Spoke. • Experience working on legislative work, issue, or political campaigns. • Experience managing staff or volunteers. • Experience managing electoral field staff.
