This role will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Global Attorney Training & Mentoring to support the Training and Career Enhancement (TACE) Committee, oversee the firm’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) departments, and develop and execute firmwide and local training programs.This role will be located in either our New York, Washington DC, Boston or Chicago office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications Other key responsibilities include: Assisting with the design and implementation of our annual in-person training Academies and traveling to and providing onsite support for the Academies Assisting with the design and implementation of various TACE programs and curricula Supporting the TACE Committee, including preparing Committee meeting agendas and in-person retreats, organizing subcommittee meetings, and tracking and implementing action items and new initiatives Drafting a wide variety of training-related communications for both internal and external audiences, including the annual TACE Honor Roll announcement and a variety of Latham news articles Overseeing the firm’s CLE accreditation and compliance processes and supervising CLE team members Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We’d love to hear from you if you: Possess excellent leadership skills (e.g., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective management Exhibit advanced communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrate familiarity with CLE rules and regulations And have: A J.D. from an accredited law school A minimum of three (3) years of experience practicing as an attorney Benefits & Additional Information Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
