About the position The Inclusion, Opportunity & Community Senior Coordinator works with the Manager of Inclusion, Opportunity & Community, the Director of Inclusion, Opportunity & Community, and the Inclusion, Opportunity & Community (IOC) Committee, which includes 100+ lawyers from Latham’s offices around the world, to support all projects led by the IOC. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles . Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities • Supporting all operations of the IOC Committee, including onboarding new Committee members, preparing newsletters and communications, scheduling regular Committee meetings, maintaining rosters and distribution lists, and assisting with all other administrative and logistics tasks in support of IOC Committee operations. • Supporting IOC subcommittees, including drafting agendas, assisting with implementation of new projects, preparing meeting summaries, and scheduling calls throughout the year. • Spearheading all aspects of event planning and logistics for in-person and virtual IOC programs and initiatives. Example projects include drafting invites and program materials, conducting industry research, outreach to potential guest speakers, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, collecting feedback from participants, preparing feedback summaries, and for virtual programs, working closely with our Technology Department to oversee all technical aspects of the program and management of registration, including tracking RSVPs. • Assisting with the preparation of materials and logistics for presentations given by IOC Committee leadership and members. • Drafting internal and external communications for IOC initiatives, including preparing high-quality drafts for key stakeholder review, and assisting with content and formatting edits. • Preparing industry surveys and award submissions spearheaded by the IOC, including drafting substantive responses, conducting market analysis, and coordinating input and review by numerous internal stakeholders. • Managing partnerships with external organizations focused on expanding the pipeline to the legal profession. • Working closely with the broader IOC administrative team and assisting with special projects, as needed. • Conducting industry research, including attending webinars and meetings, as needed. • Working with various firm departments and committees to implement IOC initiatives, including Brand & Communications, Business Development, Global Business Operations, Human Capital & Talent, and Technology. • Traveling to support IOC meetings and programs, as needed. • Promoting a fully inclusive environment, employing effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers. • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains.
