Lantech Communications, LLC is a leading construction and utility installation provider specializing in cable, fiber optic, and drop bury operations across the United States. With prime contracts from major providers and a reputation for high-quality service, we are rapidly expanding and building strong partnerships to deliver reliable solutions nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Vendor Manager to join our Drop Bury Operations team. This role is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and managing subcontractor companies to support our drop bury projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will bring existing industry contacts, a strong understanding of subcontractor management in the telecommunications and utility installation space, and the ability to build long-term vendor relationships. The Vendor Manager will report directly to the Director of Drop Bury and will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership role, with the potential to lead a dedicated Vendor Management Department as our operations expand. Position type: fully remote. Head office: Elk Grove Village, IL. Please, note: • This position requires work authorization. Requirements: • Proven experience in vendor management, subcontractor recruitment, or business development within telecommunications, cable, fiber, or utility installation industries. • Strong network of industry contacts in drop bury or related construction operations. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. • Strong organizational and reporting skills. • High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities: • Source, evaluate, and onboard subcontractor companies for drop bury operations. • Maintain and grow a strong network of qualified vendors across the US. • Negotiate terms and agreements with subcontractor partners. • Ensure subcontractor compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and client expectations. • Collaborate closely with the Director of Drop Bury to align vendor capacity with project needs. • Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve operational issues. • Provide regular reporting on vendor pipeline, availability, and performance metrics.
