LANGLEY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION IS CURRENTLY HIRING FOR A FULL TIME  FULL STACK DEVELOPER TO WORK A HYBRID SCHEDULE FROM OUR CITY CENTER HEADQUARTERS LOCATED IN NEWPORT NEWS, VA. Job Summary: The Full Stack Developer collaborates with various teams and vendors to develop and maintain all the credit union’s digital properties. This includes online, mobile, and internal platforms. This position supports the integration and extension of legacy banking and fintech ecosystems, working within third-party and vendor-owned platforms to enhance Langley’s digital capabilities. The Full Stack Developer coordinates and collaborates with the Digital Banking, Operations, Engineering/IT, and Marketing teams to provide new digital self-service experiences, execute marketing promotions, maximize page conversions, streamline navigation, and optimize search engine rankings for an effective and efficient customer experience.  Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities: * Designs and implements integrations between Langley’s vendor-supplied digital platforms and internal systems. * Provides technical support and extends the capabilities of our vendor-supplied banking and fintech ecosystems through custom integrations, SDK/API development, and integration. * Writes clean and efficient code using front-end and back-end languages. * Troubleshoots, tests, debugs, and upgrades web, mobile, front-end, middleware, and back-end applications and solutions. * Works with content creators to update and maintain content on all Langley digital properties using an analytics-driven and mobile-first approach. * Integrates third-party digital offerings with Langley digital properties. * Collaboratively supports, at the application layer, internal and external full-stack tech environments. * Writes and optimizes database queries to support data-driven development across Langley's digital platforms. * Evaluates and recommends fintech platform capabilities to support digital banking product enhancements. * Follows secure coding practices to protect sensitive member and financial data across digital platforms. * Writes and maintains automated tests to validate the functionality and reliability of web and mobile applications. * Participates in code reviews and version control workflows to maintain code quality and deployment readiness. * Designs and builds application programming interfaces to support internal and third-party system integrations. Qualifications: * High School diploma or its equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a computer science-related field or equivalent experience is preferred. * Five years of experience in full-stack, front-end, or back-end web application development is required, including at least one year of full-stack development experience. * Experience with server-side development, preferably PHP; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript; SQL/MySQL; and REST or SOAP API integrations is required. * Two years of experience using version control systems, with emphasis on Git, is required. * Two years of experience writing automated tests, including unit or integration tests, is required. * Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs is required. * Experience applying secure coding practices, including input validation and data protection, is preferred. * Experience with banking, credit union, or fintech systems and platforms is preferred. * Experience with Atlassian tools, Git-based workflows, product collaboration, usability, and user experience is preferred.
