The Material Handler Lead is responsible for overseeing material flow and ensuring operational efficiency within the production and warehouse environments. This role leads a team of material handlers and supports manufacturing and logistics processes by maintaining inventory accuracy, equipment operation, and timely movement of materials. The Lead will also collect labor and burden data on work orders and ensure safe forklift operations. Essential Functions • Lead a team in the warehouse and production areas to meet daily objectives. • Ensure continuous material supply to cleaning teams and production lines. • Maintain organization and inventory of leased and finished goods within rack systems. • Accurately track serial numbers on ICR (Inventory Control Records), RAM items, and lease quilts. • Collect labor and burden information on work orders for reporting and cost tracking. • Operate Qliner machine to support production requirements. • Safely operate forklifts for loading and unloading trucks and moving materials across the facility. • Monitor inventory movement and assist in cycle counting and stock audits. • Collaborate with other departments to resolve material shortages or delays. • Uphold safety and cleanliness standards in the warehouse and production areas. • Train new team members and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required • Minimum 1 years of experience in a warehouse or production environment, with at least 1 year in a lead role. • Forklift certification required • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems preferred). • Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and inventory records. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically active environment. The base pay range for this role is $17.00/hr to $19.00/hr. The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
