We’re looking for a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join our team in Seattle! This role is ideal for someone who excels in communication, organization, and care coordination — and who enjoys being a key advocate for patients navigating their healthcare journey. 💼 About the Role Under the direction of a physician or designee, the PCC ensures seamless coordination of care for patients in surgical and non-surgical settings. You’ll serve as a liaison between patients, providers, families, and outside agencies — helping guide patients through pre-operative planning, admissions, referrals, and more. 🔑 Key Responsibilities ✔ Serve as primary contact for patients, families, providers, and referring physicians ✔ Coordinate pre-admission tests, procedures, and surgical scheduling ✔ Ensure complete and accurate medical records for visits and admissions ✔ Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and payers ✔ Manage insurance authorizations and financial documentation ✔ Track and manage referrals in specialty clinic settings ✔ Support quality improvement initiatives and clinic efficiency ✔ Promote patient safety and uphold organizational values ✔ Deliver exceptional service using the AIDET communication framework 🧠 What You Bring • Solid understanding of medical terminology • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding • Experience with insurance authorization processes • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Professional communication skills (written and verbal) • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion • Team-oriented mindset with a patient-first approach 🎓 Qualifications Required: • 1 year of experience in a medical/healthcare setting • OR • 2 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment • Experience handling confidential information Preferred: • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
