Lamplighters Preschool is looking for caring, reliable substitute teachers to join our on-demand sub list. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with young children and is available to step in as needed. About Us Lamplighters Preschool is a warm, nurturing early childhood program where children are encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, and academically through play, routine, and loving guidance. We value kindness, teamwork, and creating a safe, joyful environment for both children and staff. Role Overview As a substitute teacher, you’ll help maintain a calm, loving, and structured classroom while supporting daily routines and activities. You’ll work alongside our staff to ensure children feel safe, cared for, and happy throughout the day. Responsibilities include: • Supporting preschool-aged children in a warm and engaging environment • Assisting with play, activities, meals, and daily routines • Helping maintain positive behavior and classroom order • Communicating kindly and respectfully with children and staff Qualifications: • Experience working with young children (preferred) • Patient, responsible, and nurturing demeanor • Ability to adapt quickly and follow classroom guidance • Background check required Schedule: • On-demand / as needed • Flexible scheduling based on your availability If you’re looking for meaningful, flexible work in a supportive preschool setting, we’d love to hear from you.
