Editorial Production Assistant job at LAIKA. Hillsboro, OR. General Summary The Editorial Production Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support for the Editorial Department. Job Functions • Assist with editorial tasks such as marking approvals, importing material from departments, breaking out and logging audio from production record sessions, exporting and QC'ing QuickTime reference videos, and checking head and tail handles for Dailies materials. • Assist in preparing for Editorial Dailies by previewing content and clarifying with Production its intended use. • Coordinate daily with the Lead Editor and 1st Assistant Editor to prioritize tasks. • Help maintain calendars, prep materials, and space for internal and inter-departmental meetings and reviews. • Assist with administrative tasks such as recording department outages, time off requests, updating mailing lists, and submitting reimbursement forms. • Provide coverage for the Story/Edit Coordinator. • Help keep the office areas clean, organized, and supplies stocked. • Aid various departments in short and long-term projects as requested by Production. • Track spending and maintain regular expense reports for Accounting. Qualifications • 0 - 2 years of work experience, prior stop motion animation, production or miniature fabrication experience, a plus. • Hardworking with a positive attitude. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint). • General knowledge of Adobe Design Software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). • General knowledge of Avid. • Preferred knowledge of Flix, ShotGrid software or other database software, a plus.
