Create and implement digital marketing campaigns and website content using BigCommerce and Klaviyo, including design, copywriting, and technical updates.
3-6 years of e-commerce marketing or digital design experience with proficiency in BigCommerce, Klaviyo, HTML/CSS, and design tools.
About the role We’re a small and independent e-commerce store specializing in off-price retail and reselling name-brand products across footwear, apparel, accessories, beauty, and more. We’re looking for a creative-technical hybrid who can bring our brand vision to life across the website, emails, and campaigns — from concept and copy to design and technical implementation. You’ll collaborate directly with the manager on campaign ideas and promotions, then turn those ideas into fully-executed digital experiences in BigCommerce and Klaviyo. This is an ideal role for a creative marketer who’s fluent in both storytelling and the tools that make it real. Note on Workload & Scope As a growing startup, our project volume is intentionally focused. You’ll work on a few high-impact creative initiatives each month — such as seasonal website refreshes, product features, and email campaigns — rather than a constant stream of projects. We value quality, consistency, and creative freedom over sheer volume. As the brand scales, your scope and ownership will naturally grow with it. Brand & Creative • Develop / maintain / optimized the brand’s visual identity, tone, and creative standards across all digital touchpoints. • Design and write copy for website banners, homepage sections, landing pages, and promotional content. • Create email marketing templates, including concepts, copy, and layout, aligned with the brand’s voice and seasonal promotions. • Collaborate with the manager to translate marketing ideas into visually compelling campaigns. Technical Implementation • Implement and update website creatives and copy directly within BigCommerce, ensuring layouts, visuals, and messaging display correctly. • Build, test, and deploy email campaigns and automations in Klaviyo — including responsive HTML editing, A/B tests, and personalization. • Manage and optimize digital assets (images, templates, creative folders) for consistency and speed. • Coordinate basic web updates (homepage, product categories, seasonal landing pages) without requiring developer intervention. Skills & Experience • 3–6 years in e-commerce marketing, creative production, or digital design. • Hands-on experience with BigCommerce (or similar platforms such as Shopify, Wix eCom, Magento). • Skilled in Klaviyo (or similar platforms) for building and managing email templates, campaigns and flows. • Working knowledge of HTML / CSS for minor edits and responsive design fixes. • Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Canva, or Adobe XD). • Strong copywriting ability — promotional, lifestyle, and brand storytelling. • Eye for aesthetics and UX; understands what converts in retail environments. • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualities • Blends creativity with practicality — can move quickly from idea to execution. • Resourceful and solution-oriented; can troubleshoot small technical issues independently. • Understands how to balance brand consistency with sales-driven creativity. • Enjoys working collaboratively but thrives in autonomous, fast-moving environments. Success in This Role Looks Like • The website and email templates consistently look on-brand, fresh, and conversion-driven. • Campaign ideas from manager are translated into polished assets within days, not weeks. • You proactively identify creative opportunities that drive sales and engagement. • BigCommerce and Klaviyo stay in sync with promotions — no waiting on outside devs. Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
