We are currently seeking a VP of Project Management to plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The duties include coordinating and managing the efforts of interdepartmental team members and third-party vendors to deliver projects as specified in the project plan. Requirements Essential Functions & Responsibilities: • In direct communication and collaboration with all project stakeholders, the VP of Project Management will define the scope, goals and deliverables for each project in support of specified business goals. Sets, communicates and continually manages project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. • Effectively manages the scope of each project in relationship to all other ongoing projects, adjusts timelines as necessary, and communicates changes to all relevant parties. Maintains a full understanding of the scope and timing of the global project implementation plan, ensuring that priority projects are completed according to the global plan. Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines and milestones using MS Project and Excel. • Works closely with project stakeholders to ensure that business unit staff and IT staff are fully committed to the project goals and timelines. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas. Defines project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. • Conducts project postmortems and creates a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management. • Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Determines the need for additional resources and participants during project cycle. Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the credit union. • Directs and manages project development from beginning to end and develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical paths. • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team. Coaches, mentors, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project. • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises and devises contingency plans. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations. Experience • Five to eight years of similar or related experience. Education • A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
