Responsibilities The Used Car Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition and management of the dealership’s used vehicle inventory. Manage the dealership’s used car acquisitions, sourcing vehicles from customers, brokers, auctions, and other channels. Oversee appraisal, purchasing, reconditioning, merchandising, and sales of used vehicles. Set, monitor, and achieve sales goals, gross profit targets, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis. Coach and develop the sales and acquisition team to maximize performance. Qualifications Required: Minimum of 3 years of Used Car Manager experience in an automotive dealership setting. High-energy, results-driven attitude with strong leadership and coaching skills. Proficiency with automotive valuation tools and dealership management systems (DMS) — CDK preferred. Experience with high-volume automotive sales, buying, and appraisals. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with customers. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. You must have or acquire a valid California Vehicle Salesperson License. Compensation The estimated annual earnings for this position are $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 after factoring in all forms of compensation including salary, commissions, bonuses, etc. Employees in this position will receive a base salary of approximately $6,000.00 per month, plus commissions and bonuses based on performance. Please keep in mind that this range may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
