A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering is required, along with 0-3 years of experience. Candidates should understand how to read design drawings and are expected to pursue a PE license.
We are looking for an energetic team member to join our growing Transmission and Distribution group as an Entry-Level Engineer. Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in either Civil or Electrical Engineering with 0-3 years of experience and a passion for the power delivery industry. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team on both large- and small-scale power delivery projects for both overhead and underground electric designs for National and local utility companies. Projects may include design for overhead structures and foundations, design of new underground electrical duct banks, conductor sizing, voltage conversions, and renewable design for electric transmission and distribution facilities. This is a full time position. LaBella’s standard workweek consists of eight (8) hours per day, Monday through Friday. Hybrid (home/office) work schedules are available for this position. Candidates will be expected to work a minimum of two days from the office, subject to change based on productivity and supervisor approval. Duties Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with coworkers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees Assist with the creation of detailed construction drawings for both underground and overhead transmission and distribution lines based on client and industry standards. Perform site visits and inspections during design and construction phases to verify design intent and to ensure installation is in accordance with approved design. Coordinate with internal and external resources to develop detailed designs and attend regularly scheduled meetings to provide update on the status of the design. Perform detailed calculations to support the design and create reports to clearly express those calculations. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) AutoDesk (AutoCAD & AutoCAD Civil 3D) SAP experience is a plus PLS-CADD, PLS Pole, PLS Tower experience is a plus CYMCAP experience is a plus ASPEN experience is a plus Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from accredited college 0-3 Years’ experience A PE license is not required, but the pursuit of one is expected Understands how to read design drawings Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
