Job Title:  Senior Manager, Accounting Job Code: 32260 Job Location: Palm Bay FL, Rockwall or Greenville TX, Herndon, VA or Camden NJ Schedule: 9/80 Every other Friday off   L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Manager of Accounting in the L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems Segment General Accounting team.  The Sr. Manager will lead a team of professional accountants providing general accounting and financial reporting for a Maritime Sector business unit.   Focused  partnership with business unit accountants and finance personnel is a core cultural characteristic of the organization.  This key position will contribute to the organization in the following ways:   Essential Functions:   Liaisons with the Sector Controller and program accounting personnel Ensures compliance with accounting policies Coordinates work during monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles to ensure deadlines are achieved Reviews journal entries and account reconciliations Assists with prioritization of work and/or re-distribution when competing deadlines arise Creates and/or updates process documentation including Sarbanes Oxley narrative documents Supports internal, external and DCAA audits   Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance  12 years of Accounting experience with Bachelor’s and 10 years with Master’s with comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. Experience in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in a fast- close process with multiple, often competing, deadlines Experience in a complex ERP environment with additional systems for reporting Experience with facilitation with internal and external audits Experience in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and journal entries Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards is a plus CPA Certification preferred   Preferred Additional Skills:   Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion. Flexible planner in terms of daily activities with ability to adeptly react to changing requirements and priorities Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment Exceptional organizational skills enabling monitoring of key due dates and activities Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals   In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $103K-$191K.  For California, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $118-$219K.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
