Job Title: Director, Material Program Management - AE Sector Job Code: 33260 Job Location: Mason, OH - OR- Richardson, TX Job Schedule: 9/80, Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Director, Material Program Management, the person in this role will be responsible for leading all supply chain activities required to meet AE sector requirements. The individual selected will also be responsible for collaborating with Segment Supply Chain functions, Advanced Effects (AE) Senior Leadership Team, Programs, Finance, and Supplier and Customer leaders to improve AE’s material availability and supplier performance. Knowledge of aerospace industry products, supply chains, government procurement requirements and industry standard supply chain practices is required. Candidate must be a proactive leader with the ability to make responsive decisions that balance the strategic and tactical needs of the Supply Chain organization and the Sector. The Supply Chain Sector Director will report to the Missile Solutions Segment Vice President of Supply Chain. As such, the Supply Chain Sector Director will have the responsibility to: accept program direction from company executives and the Program Office and implement it expeditiously and conscientiously; manage the supply chain portion of assigned programs to the best of their abilities within approved resources; be customer-focused and provide the best, most cost-effective systems or capabilities, and within contract bounds. While conducting these responsibilities the Supply Chain Sector Direcvtor will apply continuous improvement to; innovate, strive for optimal solutions and seek better ways to manage; be candid about supply chain status, including risks, problems, mitigations and solutions, likely outcomes and opportunities; prepare thorough estimates of financial and resources that are required to execute the assigned program scope; and manage the supply chain portion of assigned programs to the best of their abilities to achieve the approved financial base-lined program objectives. Essential Functions: The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for all aspects of supply chain performance required to achieve AE Sector requirements to include, but not limited, to the following: • Provide leadership, strategic direction and determe organizational objectives for all supply chain activities relating to the assigned Sector • Responsible for accomplishing all supply chain activities relating to the assigned Sector requirements through the application of company internal controls, communication, policy, directive and procedural requirements to include: • Aligning and meeting AOP material receipts. • Aligning and meeting established supplier OTD goals. • Aligning and meeting established supplier COPQ goals. • Responsible for establishing departmental policies required to accomplish supply chain activities, aligned to enterprise level goals, objectives and policies, relating to the assigned Sector requirements. • Responsible for interpreting, executing and recommending modifications to L3Harris policies, aligned to enterprise level goals, objectives and policies, required to improve supply chain performance required to meet supply chain activities relating to the assigned Business Unit requirements • Responsible for defining resource requirements and managing departmental operating budgets required to achieve supply chain activities relating to the assigned Sector. • Drive improved delivery performance (cost, schedule and quality) from supply base through use of supply chain strategies (e.g. consistent with Category Management strategies) and integration with Program and Finance, Supplier Quality, the customer and our suppliers. • Drive improved organizational performance through development of standard work to transparently execute daily responsibilities with maximum efficiency. • Interact with intra-organizational managers concerning matters of significance to L3Harris. • Review overall budget schedules and performance standards. • Reviewi and approve major expenditures. • Support all Business Unit proposal efforts including recommending and executing risk assessments and mitigations as well as negotiating strategies. • Conduct briefings and project review meetings for AE Sector management and external customers. • Foster ethical conduct, practices and personal integrity. • Work collaboratively within the Supply Chain Management Enterprise to promote holistic enterprise solutions and continuous improvement. • Manage the self-audit activities of assigned functions. • 25%-50% business travel to other L3Harris or Supplier sites. • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 15 years of prior Supply Chain experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related Supply Chain experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related Supply Chain experience. • 5+ years exeprinece in Aerospace and Defense executing Department of War (DOW) contracts. • 3+ years of experience directly managing employees in a Supply Chain Organization. Preferred Additional Skills: • Understand the power of delegation on team effectiveness. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, such as program participants, and other staff and representatives from other organizations. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to interface with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams. • Experience training, coaching and mentoring. • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. #LI-MRW
