This role leads Shipping & Receiving, manages production scheduling for Finishing, and maintains accurate inventory control for both Finishing and Magnetics operations. The position plays a critical role in ensuring on time delivery, efficient material flow, and alignment between production, inventory, and customer requirements. Lead all Shipping & Receiving functions, including staffing, workflow management, material handling, and warehouse organization. Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including plant transfers, third party trucking, and customer returns. Oversee logistics and documentation for chemical shipments to ensure regulatory and safety compliance. Maintain inventory accuracy and material flow for Finishing and Magnetics operations by performing cycle counts, reconciliations, and necessary corrective actions. Coordinate raw material availability with production and scheduling needs Identify inventory risks, shortages, and excess stock; recommend corrective actions Develop and maintain production schedules for the Finishing department based on capacity, material availability, and priority changes Ensure timely and accurate shipment of customer orders Oversee receiving, inspection coordination, and proper material staging Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Shipping leadership to align materials planning with operational goals. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety standards, and shipping requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Team Leadership: Proven ability to build, motivate, and develop high performance maintenance teams. Communication: Collaborate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth production flow. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to understand client needs, address concerns, and communicate clearly at all levels. Problem Solving: Strong ability to investigate new product requirements, identify solutions, and optimize existing processes. Safety compliance: Demonstrate a commitment to safety of cutting tool, machine blade, slitting machine safety Physical abilities: Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs. Standing for duration of shift, maintain finger dexterity Technical skills: Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records. Continuous improvement: Maintain a process optimization mindset. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 3+ years of experience in materials, logistics, inventory, or manufacturing operations Prior experience supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing environment Proficient with spreadsheets, and production reporting tools Strong understanding of inventory control, scheduling, and shipping processes Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast paced production environment Strong communication and organizational skills SAP experience preferred
