Position Summary Kumho Tire USA is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Sales – Western Region to lead our Passenger Car Tire sales operations while collaborating closely with our Commercial Tire and Light Truck Tire sales teams. This role oversees the PLT business across the Western Region, managing Regional Sales Managers and aligning cross-functional sales initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Execution • Set ambitious sales targets and execute bold, differentiating commercial strategies to achieve standout growth in PLT for the Western Region. • Make rapid, data-driven decisions in dynamic markets, confidently taking calculated risks to secure competitive wins. • Lead by example, fostering a results-oriented, high-performance culture that motivates teams to embrace change and surpass targets. Driving Change & Innovation • Proactively identify untapped opportunities, market shifts, and emerging trends—and swiftly implement transformation initiatives that disrupt market norms. • Accelerate new sales programs and promotional campaigns with measurable impact, driving continuous innovation in go-to-market and customer engagement. • Champion a culture of adaptability and experimentation, enabling fast response to challenges and market disruptions. Cross-Divisional Collaboration for Growth • Forge powerful alliances with Commercial Tire and Light Truck Tire sales teams to deliver integrated strategies, maximize synergies, and achieve all-category outperformance. • Catalyze knowledge sharing and cross-functional planning, unlocking best practices that fuel incremental growth and sustain market leadership. Customer & Dealer Relationship Excellence • Assertively expand and strengthen partnerships with strategic accounts, distributors, and retail channels, driving loyalty and securing new business. • Equip Regional Sales Managers and divisions to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and champion customer success—from contract to after-sales support. Market Intelligence & Financial Impact • Lead the charge in competitive intelligence, sales analytics, and forecasting—translating insights into actionable, high-impact decisions. • Own and optimize budgets, forecasts, and performance reports, with clear accountability for margin enhancement and sales acceleration. Qualifications Required • Minimum 15+ years of tire industry sales experience, with at least 5 years in a transformative leadership role. • Demonstrable success in steering multi-state sales operations to outstanding growth amid changing market conditions. • Strong experience building and leading high-performing teams in challenging, competitive environments. • Extensive knowledge of the Western US market, dealer networks, and multi-product sales channels. • Advanced proficiency in sales analytics, CRM systems, and financial management.
