Full Description

SUMMARY The Process Leader leads a small team of individuals through processing tasks in the development and validation of manufacturing processes and to prepare process documents in order to support the project’s engineering requirements. They support the OEM customer as well as the KUKA program management team. They set priorities within a determined schedule. The objective is to validate the functionality, sequence, and cycle time of these applications. Verify or create a process that will comply with the customer requirements. This will also require working with several departments such as Project Management, Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, System Layout, Joining Department (Weld Engineering), PLC, Controls, Product Department, Manufacturing and Robot Programming to verify every aspect of the process from design to manufacturing. The leader will coordinate the project with several departments and his/her process team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Assist the Process Supervisors and or Managers in organizing and prioritizing shared resources. • Coordinate project specific items. • Create or add Process Issues on the internal Open Issues Matrix. • Track and maintain Project Status and progress Reporting • Work with Processors on issues in their processes, evaluates overall feasibility and makes recommendations for improvements. • Train New Processors on KUKA standards. • Setup the project structure after project Kick-Off Meeting. • Leads a team of individuals through engineering tasks to prepare process documents in order to kickoff simulation and mechanical design. Tasks may include… • Review customer supplied information • Develop and validate manufacturing processes • Process Flow sheets • System Layouts in 2D AutoCAD or 3D Factory CAD • Weld / Fasteners identified for each station / operation • Sealer and Adhesive graphic sheets • Assist with Weld Gun selection • Assist with Process Simulation to show dynamic reach and access • System and cell/station level cycle times completed • Ergonomic evaluations completed for each manual operation EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate degree from a two-year college or university or technical school with three years or more related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
