Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications, maintain machines, monitor production, and assist in training new employees.
High school diploma, 2 years industrial experience, ability to read drawings, basic computer proficiency, physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods, and willingness to work in industrial environment.
This position is hands-on as a machine operator in an industrial environment. Candidate will be required to lift parts daily throughout the day and work under the guidance of department supervision directing daily production. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC machine operator to join our team located in Philadelphia, PA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Machine parts according to drawings and specifications provided • Download programs to machine controller and edit machine code accordingly for correct tooling based on part specifications • Changing tooling on machine as needed and loading proper data in machine controller • Plan and complete daily and routine preventative maintenance on machine assigned • Assure work area and aisles surrounding machine are kept clean and free of debris • Monitor production runs and part quantities produced and properly label all outgoing parts from assigned work cell • Assist in training of new department employees Requirements: • Computer proficiency for Microsoft and basic computer skills • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and familiar with metric system • Quality control parts machined and read digital caliper to measure tolerances accurately • Follows company procedures • Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions from manufacturing supervisor and team leaders as well as CNC programmers • Willingness and ability to work within an environment with exposure to noise, dusty environments, heat, and cold. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and able to stand for extended periods of time • High school diploma or equivalent • 2 years related industrial experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • On-the-job training • Paid time off • Referral program • Vision insurance Ability to Relocate: • Philadelphia, PA 19114: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
