Kraken is seeking a Senior AI Attorney to serve as a subject matter expert on legal and regulatory issues related to artificial intelligence, data governance, and emerging technologies. This role will advise on the procurement, development, deployment, and governance of AI systems across the company, with a particular focus on data usage, model training, privacy, and regulatory compliance. We are looking for someone based in London or New York. \n What you'll do Support sales and commercial activities involving AI-enabled products and services, including advising on regulatory risk, data usage, representations and warranties, and customer-facing AI disclosures. Advise engineering, product, and business teams on AI regulations, governance, and risk management. Provide legal guidance on the use of Kraken, customer, and third-party data in AI model training and applications. Monitor and advise on emerging global AI jurisprudence, laws and regulations, including the EU AI Act and GDPR. Support AI integration into Kraken products and services, including risk assessment and mitigation. Collaborate with engineering, AI, privacy, cybersecurity, procurement, and regulatory teams. Advise global affiliates on AI, data protection, and regulatory issues. Support AI governance frameworks, policies, and internal controls. Assist with incident response and regulatory inquiries related to AI or data usage. Develop and deliver AI and data protection training. What we're looking for Minimum of 5 years of experience at a top-tier law firm. Experience advising on AI, machine learning, or advanced technology matters in-house at an international company. Strong knowledge of global data protection laws, including GDPR; EU AI Act familiarity required.
