Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years leadership in vendor management or procurement in regulated industries, strong contract law and compliance knowledge, cross-functional leadership, and preferred certifications like CPSM or CTPRP.
Our client, a national organization is seeking a senior executive to lead its enterprise-wide vendor management strategy. This role will establish a centralized function to oversee third-party sourcing, contracting, and performance governance. The VP will develop policies and frameworks that ensure vendor relationships align with business objectives, regulatory standards, and risk protocols—while driving cost efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: • Build and lead a centralized Vendor Management Office (VMO) to unify sourcing and vendor oversight. • Create and enforce policies for vendor selection, contracting, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation. • Lead strategic sourcing efforts (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) and manage contract lifecycle in partnership with legal, finance, and IT. • Implement tools and processes to monitor vendor KPIs, SLAs, and scorecards; drive continuous improvement and innovation. • Oversee vendor budgets, forecast spend, and identify cost-saving opportunities aligned with service expectations. • Recruit and develop a high-performing vendor management team; foster a culture of transparency and accountability. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred. • 10+ years of leadership experience in vendor management, sourcing, or procurement, ideally in regulated industries. • Strong grasp of contract law, third-party risk, and compliance frameworks. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex vendor ecosystems. • Certifications such as CPSM, CTPRP, or COP are a plus.
