Shape the Future of Finance at a Global Leader Executive Director, FP&A – Confidential Search Location: Detroit, MI – Full relocation package available Join our client as an Executive Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, where you will lead strategic financial initiatives that shape the future of a global organization. This highly visible role reports directly to the Americas Regional CFO and offers the opportunity to influence executive decision-making, drive profitability, and optimize financial performance across the business. Key Responsibilities • Lead the annual operating plan, long-range strategic plan, and forecasting processes, delivering actionable insights and analytics. • Drive month-end management reporting, variance analysis, and executive presentations to support data-driven decisions. • Champion finance transformation initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability. • Develop and refine financial models and processes to improve accuracy and support strategic decision-making. • Partner with senior leadership to identify risks, opportunities, and strategies that align with business objectives. • Manage and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering engagement and professional growth. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA strongly preferred, CPA a plus. • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience with a proven track record. • Demonstrated experience in industrial manufacturing, automotive, or similar industry, and/or management consulting background such as McKinsey. • Expertise in global operations and long-range planning, advanced financial modeling, leading/driving finance or operations transformation projects, cost optimization, footprint strategy, and analytics within a complex matrix organization, international experience or within a global consulting firm. • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial consolidation and analytical tools, ERP (SAP, HFM, Power BI, or similar). • Collaborative leadership style with experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders.
