Director of Operations Location: Sacramento, CA (On-site) Overview Our client—one of America’s leading exercise equipment manufacturers--is seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Operations to lead operational excellence across their organization. This role will oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who can optimize production processes, ensure product quality, and drive efficiency while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Supply Chain Management: Direct procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and supplier relationships. • Manufacturing Operations: Oversee production planning, process optimization, and quality assurance. • Leadership: Inspire and manage department managers; promote a high-performing team environment. • Operational Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, cost-effectiveness, and quality. • Performance Metrics: Track KPIs for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, and Operational Excellence; implement SMART goals. • Decision-Making: Establish operational policies, make capital investment decisions, and optimize facility layouts. • Financial Oversight: Review budgets and financial data to enhance profitability. • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. • 10+ years in operational management within manufacturing; 7+ years in leadership roles. • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles. • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and operational analytics. • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Experience managing budgets and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
