Job Posting: Sr. IT Business Analyst Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience in SAP ERP and S/4HANA, specifically within Business Intelligence (BI) reporting areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SAP modules, data structures, and BI reporting tools, along with excellent communication and analytical skills. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into effective reporting solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and driving data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze reporting requirements. Translate business needs into clear and concise functional and technical specifications. Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement. Map capabilities of IT EDW and Power BI solutions and systems to meet business requirements. Evaluate against reporting capabilities across platforms to determine the appropriate solution. SAP ERP/S/4HANA Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of SAP ERP and S/4HANA modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, PP) to understand data flows and structures. Extract and analyze data from SAP systems using various tools and techniques. Provide expert advice on SAP data models and reporting capabilities. BI Reporting Development & Enhancement (Specifically Power BI): Design BI reports layout and work with development team/Business/Functional Teams. Enhance existing reports to meet evolving business needs and improve usability. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance of reporting solutions. Data analytics & visualization using Power BI. Data Modeling, DAX, transformations using Power Query. Data Analysis & Validation: Perform data analysis and validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Identify and resolve data quality issues. Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and management. Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and processes. Facilitate workshops and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations. Project Management: Contribute to project planning and execution. Manage tasks and deliverables within project timelines. Ensure adherence to project methodologies and standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on SAP ERP and S/4HANA BI reporting. Strong understanding of SAP modules and data structures. Experience in SQL and other data extraction and analysis tools. Experience with reporting tools (SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau) Power BI skills required (Modeling, DAX, Power Query, visualization) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts. Experience with CDS views is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Snowflake working knowledge/experience Matillion/HVR/Fivetran working knowledge/experience Experience with agile methodologies.
