Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our gym's sales team and drive membership growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a passion for fitness and customer service. This role involves managing daily operations, developing sales strategies, and ensuring a positive member experience. The Sales Manager will play a key role in fostering a motivating environment that encourages team development and achieves business objectives. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise the sales team to meet or exceed membership sales targets • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to attract new members • Conduct interviews, recruit, and onboard new staff members • Provide ongoing training and development to team members on sales techniques, customer service, and product knowledge • Manage daily store operations including shift management, inventory control, and POS transactions • Oversee billing, payroll, bookkeeping, and cash handling processes ensuring accuracy and compliance • Maintain inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment to ensure the gym is well-presented • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management • Foster excellent customer service by addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly • Coordinate promotional events and marketing campaigns to increase visibility within the community • Ensure compliance with safety standards and health regulations within the gym environment Skills • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team • Proven management experience in retail or fitness environments with supervisory responsibilities • Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS operations, and retail math • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse clientele • Experience in recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting • Knowledge of retail management practices including merchandising, pricing strategies, and store management • Leadership qualities with a focus on team management, employee orientation, and performance coaching • Customer service excellence with strong phone etiquette skills • Familiarity with marketing strategies to promote gym services and memberships • Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining organizational standards This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about fitness industry growth.
