Full Description

Public Relations Specialist (3-month term, full-time local position) We’re looking for a public relations specialist for a short-term, three-month gig to help support our public relations team at KPS3. In this role, you’ll develop public relations materials and reports that align with clients’ strategies and goals. You’ll work closely with the PR team to produce high-quality deliverables that are engaging, well-researched and informative. Candidates must be local to the Reno‑Tahoe‑Carson area. Responsibilities include researching media and influencers, writing press releases and incorporating feedback, participating in internal meetings to collaborate on upcoming client announcements, working with account teammates to prioritize deadlines, and developing public relations reports to showcase results. Skills we’re looking for: Ability to write clearly and persuasively Manage priorities and projects effectively Develop media lists, monitor news mentions, write PR materials, compile research and reports that support clients’ PR strategies and goals Work collaboratively with KPS3 team members across divisions: public relations, creative and social media, account Employ critical thinking, ask questions, anticipate needs Stay organized, keep things moving, and know when to ask for help Communicate workload and priorities with teammates What to expect: We ask you to submit 1‑2 samples of your work (press release, event plan, blog post, or research document). If your application and style are strong, you’ll be invited to participate in an interview process that includes an initial interview and 1‑2 rounds of conversations with the PR and account teams. Flexibility: We ask a lot from everyone here, so it's fair to ask us for some back. Hybrid atmosphere: work from home, work from the office, or wherever you feel most productive. You’ll have 24/7 access to our onsite fitness room. You’ll have 24/7 access to Skillshare to brush up or beef up on any skills you have (or want).
