Our engineering company is growing and looking for an Automation Controls Engineer who enjoys creative problem-solving, diverse applications, engineering and the ability to work on projects from concept through commissioning. Job Scope • Engineer, design, test and commission electrical automation control systems • PLC Programming (Rockwell Automation, Siemens) • Drive system design and configuration • HMI design and development • Electrical drawings in AutoCAD • Troubleshoot control systems at customer facilities Required Education and Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering • 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience • Strong communication skills for effective customer and internal interaction • Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision • Attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Hands-on experience with PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferred), coordinated drive systems, and motion control, robotics is a plus • Solid understanding of drives and motor theory • Strong troubleshooting abilities with complex control systems • Good understanding of typical industrial processes and applications • Willingness and ability to travel locally to customer facilities; most travel is local with home return each night.
