About the Role KITSCH is currently looking for a proactive and results-driven VP of Product & Assortment Strategy to lead and elevate our wholesale and merchandising vision. In this role, you won’t just manage categories; you’ll architect a data-driven three-year product roadmap, identify emerging market white spaces, and lead a high-performing team to deliver profitable, consumer-led growth. From defining pricing strategies to ensuring flawless visual merchandising execution in-store, you will be the driving force behind how our brand scales across the global marketplace. Key Outcomes By Month 6 (Execution + Optimization Phase) Product Roadmap & Launch Planning Lead creation of a 3-year product roadmap and seasonal launch plan by Month 5, with input from Sales, Product Development, and buyers. Ensure roadmap includes key milestones, category expansion plans, and timelines for innovation sprints. Secure cross-functional alignment and presentation of the plan to the Executive Team by the end of Month 6. Product Positioning & Pricing Strategy Define overarching pricing strategy and product positioning across key categories by Month 5. Benchmark against market data and buyer feedback to support pricing tiers and margin goals. Deliver a strategic pricing framework aligned with brand and retailer expectations. Trend & White Space Acceleration Establish a rapid insight-to-market process for trend-driven products by Month 4. Identify 2–3 white space areas and deliver at least one new product concept ready for sampling or merchant feedback by Month 6. Integrate real-time trend and sales data into ongoing seasonal planning. By Month 12 (Long-Term Growth & Scalability) — Updated Institutionalize Product Roadmap Process Ensure the 3-year product roadmap and launch planning process is fully integrated across Product Development, Sales, and Marketing. Conduct quarterly roadmap reviews, with 100% cross-functional participation and adjustments based on performance and insights. Drive Measurable Product Positioning Impact Track and improve consumer understanding of product positioning via retailer feedback and sell-through performance. Achieve ≥10% YOY improvement in category differentiation scores (from merchant/buyer feedback or internal assessment). Optimize Pricing Strategy for Growth and Margin Implement and iterate on the strategic pricing framework to drive both value perception and gross margin. Deliver 300 bps improvement in blended product margins across at least 3 key categories. Scale Trend-Driven Product Wins Launch 3+ quick-turnaround products in identified white space areas, with ≥75% achieving sell-through target benchmarks within 90 days of shelf placement. Expand Trend-Insight System Company-Wide Formalize a company-wide trend and white space spotting system, ensuring 100% of seasonal line planning incorporates forward-looking consumer, category, and competitor data. Required Competencies Strategic & Analytical Line Architecture Mastery: Designs assortments that balance innovation, margin, and retailer fit. Financial Acumen: Uses margin, SKU productivity, and pricing data to drive strategy. Consumer + Trend Integration: Brings external insights into every decision. Execution & Collaboration Go-to-Market Readiness: Builds launch decks, tools, and calendars that deliver impact. Retailer Partnership Development: Anticipates and meets partner goals with tailored assortments. Cross-Functional Leadership: Brings Sales, Product Dev, and Creative into alignment. Visual Merchandising Execution: Oversees end-to-end process for in-store displays and marketing materials, including supplier coordination and 3rd-party setup. Leadership & Culture Fit Team Builder: Sets clear goals, mentors talent, and drives a high-performance culture. Operational Driver: Establishes scalable merchandising processes and reviews. Cultural Values: Models honesty, reliability, and discernment in all decisions and communication. Technical Proficiency Excel (Advanced) IRI / Circana or Spins analytics platforms Final Alignment Check Company OKRs: Fully aligned — supports margin expansion, growth in wholesale, and brand-right innovation. Cross-Team Dependencies: Strongly collaborative with Sales, Product Development, Finance, and Retailer Partners. Clarity & Objectivity: All outcomes are measurable and time-bound.
