High school diploma or GED, minimum two years technical/professional support experience, intermediate Microsoft Excel, valid Washington State driver's license.
Job Summary The primary function of this position is to support the Telecom Department and is directly responsible for assisting customers in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. Telecom operates in an environment which requires this position to be flexible, organized, and adaptable to the changing needs of the organization and is required to plan, prioritize, organize, and complete their workload. This position works closely with the Telecom leadership team. Reporting To: Telecom Assistant Superintendent Department: Telecommunication Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 5:00pm Requirements Include: • High School Diploma or GED • Minimum two years of experience providing technical and professional support to staff or closely related work experience. • Required to have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Word. • Basic knowledge is required in Microsoft Outlook; General Office Equipment including printers, computers, fax machines and phones; and Internet Explorer. • Preferred college courses in and working with software and computer applications. • Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license for mail and other support duties. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Demonstrates a strong commitment to Kitsap PUD’s core values when working alone, within a team, and with customers. • Point of contact for residents on KPUD telecommunications through various ways including face to face, phone, and electronic mails. • Support Telecom staff with operational needs. • Issue customer requested estimate requests. • Assist Administrative Assistant II with documentation in the formation of Local Utility Districts including creating and maintaining records, forms, and correspondence; and serving as the hearing recorder. • Administrative functions and clerical work including document preparation, data entry, e-mail, filing, organizing, record keeping, basic mathematics, accounting techniques, and other duties as assigned. • Complete daily work and projects in a timely manner while ensuring thoroughness, accuracy, and attention to detail. • Working conditions include, lifting, and moving up to 25 pounds, frequently sitting or standing for extended periods, office environment, moderate noise level, occasionally exposed to high noise level. • Successful applicants must pass a background check, drug screening, and a driver’s abstract prior to employment. Results do not necessarily preclude you from employment.
