Also, the Residential Program Manager is responsible for supervising all direct care staff and the Residential Direct Care Supervisor. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. 1. Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Kismet policy, and COA standards. 2. Assist individuals in the development of daily living skills (including but not limited to leisure, time and money management, good health, safety, and habit development). 3. Monitors facility for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance requirements. 4. Evaluates performance of direct care staff. 5. Provides direct supervision to the Residential Supervisor and Direct Care Staff. 6. Monitors direct care staff work schedules to optimize staff utilization. Maintain appropriate staff to client ratios. 7. Manage staff schedules and overtime. 8. Ensure all overtime justification is submitted to LCCA for approval. 9. Ensure all daily documentation is submitted for all children in care. 10. Ensure all timesheets are submitted for approval prior to the scheduled pay-date. 11. Adjust direct care staff schedules as needed for appropriate coverage, registered training classes, leave time, etc. 12. Participates in Residential Plans meetings regarding consumer goals/objectives or other programming elements affecting the residents' assessed needs and individual desires. 13. Promote an environment that promotes the psychological, emotional, and physical wellbeing of individuals. 14. Ensure all supplies are properly labeled and stored. 15. Participate in Residential Plans meetings regarding consumer goals/objectives or other programming elements affecting the staff, children and facilities. 16. Monitor the van to see if any services or repair are needed. 17. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position directly supervises staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Kismet policies, State and Federal laws, and Minimum Standards. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance including coaching and future performance development; manages training needs through learning management system; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintain quality improvement goals and address at regularly scheduled staff meetings. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION, LICENSURE AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED and at least two years of direct-care experience and at least one year of supervisory experience in a residential treatment setting working with children with emotional disorders. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid driver's license, appropriate insurance and reliable car. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test. Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment.
