Assist with lead generation, market research, proposal preparation, and relationship management activities to support business development.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, Communications, or related field; 0-2 years of experience; strong organizational and communication skills.
Position Purpose: Supports the Business Development team by assisting with lead generation, market research, proposal preparation, and relationship-management activities. This role is designed for an early-career professional interested in commercial real estate, development, construction, or professional services, and offers exposure to strategic growth initiatives and client engagement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Business Development Support • Assist in identifying and tracking prospective clients, partners, and opportunities. • Support lead generation efforts through research, outreach preparation, and CRM updates. • Help maintain and organize business development pipelines and contact databases. Market Research & Analysis • Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to support growth strategies. • Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to new markets, projects, or service lines. • Prepare summary reports and briefing materials for leadership. Proposals & Marketing Materials • Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and qualification packages. • Assist with assembling RFQs/RFPs, including document coordination and formatting. • Help update standard marketing materials, resumes, and project descriptions. Client & Relationship Support • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and following up on action items. • Support relationship-building efforts with clients, brokers, and partners. • Help coordinate business development events, meetings, and site visits. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with development, construction, accounting, and operations teams to gather information for proposals and presentations. • Support internal coordination to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials. Administrative & General Support • Maintain organized digital and physical files related to business development efforts. • Assist with tracking deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up activities. • Perform other duties as assigned by Business Development leadership. Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, Communications, or a related field required. • 0–2 years of experience in business development, sales support, marketing, or a related role. • Internship or co-op experience in real estate, construction, development, or professional services preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Experience with CRM systems or proposal software preferred. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Professional demeanor with a strong interest in relationship building and growth. Performance Measures • External and internal customer satisfaction. • Demonstrated flexibility in working with KIRCO Associates and KIRCO clients. • Demonstrated initiative and ability to be proactive in accomplishing goals.
