COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER Position Summary The Communications Manager provides strategic leadership for all digital media, marketing, and communications across Kingdom Global's integrated portfolio: Kingdom Fellowship AME Church, Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation (KGCDC), and the Senior Pastor’s Ministry Platform. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role translates pastoral vision into compelling content, manages external marketing contractors, and drives measurable growth in audience engagement and mission impact. Reports To: Chief Operations Officer Classification: Full-time, Exempt Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000/year Core Responsibilities Strategic Communications Leadership • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategy across Kingdom Global portfolio • Translate Senior Pastor's vision into actionable content plans and marketing campaigns • Drive global mission expansion through strategic digital engagement • Ensure brand consistency while honoring distinct missions of church, KGCDC, and Pastor's platform Cross-Entity Coordination • Navigate stakeholder environment across church (two campuses), KGCDC programs, and Pastor's external commitments • Coordinate communications calendars to maximize impact across all three entities • Build relationships with ministry leaders, KGCDC staff, and external partners • Facilitate communication flow between Senior Pastor's office and ministry teams Contractor Management • Serve as primary oversight for external digital marketing contractor • Provide direction, feedback, and approval on all deliverables • Manage rapid-turnaround workflows (1-week typical, same-week urgent) • Monitor contractor performance and ensure quality standards Content Strategy & Creative Direction • Develop content strategies and editorial calendars aligned with strategic priorities • Oversee production of multimedia content (social media, video, graphics, website) • Ensure appropriate messaging for each audience: faith-based (church), non-religious (CDC), professional (Pastor) • Maintain Kingdom Global brand principles across all content Campaign Development & Execution • Lead integrated marketing campaigns for various initiatives, including sermon series, large scale events, and KGCDC initiatives • Support donor cultivation, new member acquisition, and program participation growth • Coordinate event marketing across both campuses and KGCDC programs • Execute rapid-response communications for urgent organizational needs Digital Platform & Analytics • Oversee all digital platforms (websites, social media, email marketing) • Retain password management and security control for Kingdom Global accounts • Monitor KPIs and provide performance reports to leadership • Make data-driven recommendations for strategy optimization Qualifications Required • Deep Christian faith and alignment with Kingdom Fellowship AME Church mission and values • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, or related field • 7-10 years of progressive communications/digital marketing experience • Proven track record managing social media accounts with 10,000+ followers and achieving measurable growth • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines • Excellent written/verbal communication skills across diverse audiences • Experience managing contractor relationships and external contractors • Proficiency with social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools • Understanding of Black Church tradition and culture • Cultural competency and emotional intelligence Preferred • Master’s degree in communications, Marketing, Divinity, or related field • Experience in faith-based or nonprofit communications • Experience with multi-entity or multi-site organizations • Video production and graphic design skills • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) Key Competencies • Strategic thinking with tactical execution ability • Digital fluency and content creation expertise • Brand stewardship and creative excellence • Agility and responsiveness in fast-paced environment • Leadership through influence; builds consensus without direct authority • Data-driven approach focused on measurable outcomes • Exceptional relationship management across diverse stakeholders • Spiritual maturity with understanding that communications serve ministry mission • Crisis communications readiness; demonstrated ability to develop rapid-response messaging, manage sensitive public situations with discretion, and protect organizational integrity under pressure Work Environment Full-time position with evening/weekend work required for events and services. Office-based with flexibility for remote work. Fast-paced environment with frequent urgent requests. The Communications Manager must be prepared to respond to emerging organizational needs and serve as the primary communications point of contact during critical situations, including media inquiries, public statements, and time-sensitive community matters. This role requires the ability to be on-call as needed to support crisis communications, rapid-response messaging, and urgent organizational announcements outside of standard business hours.
