Our client is a global life sciences innovator providing advanced discovery platforms and research services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide. Their capabilities span DNA Encoded Libraries (DEL), fragment-based drug discovery, and structure-based design, enabling partners to accelerate hit identification and early discovery with speed, scale, and scientific rigour. Through long-term collaborations and strategic partnerships, the company supports the development of novel therapeutics across multiple disease areas, combining deep scientific expertise with a highly collaborative, customer-centric approach. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Leadership • Develop and execute the global sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives • Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics • Own forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting Business Development & Market Expansion • Identify and pursue new global market opportunities • Build senior-level relationships with pharma, biotech, CROs, and research partners • Lead commercial negotiations, contracts, and pricing strategies Team Leadership • Recruit, coach, and manage a high-performing sales organisation • Train teams on value-based selling of complex scientific services • Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture Customer & Partner Engagement • Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers • Represent the company at industry conferences, partnering meetings, and client engagements • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention Cross-Functional Collaboration • Align closely with marketing, scientific support, product, and delivery teams • Provide market and customer insight to inform product and corporate strategy Performance & Reporting • Track and report sales performance against targets • Present updates and insights to executive leadership • Adjust tactics based on market feedback and performance data Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Master’s, PhD preferred) • 3+ years of experience in sales or business development • Background in life sciences, biotech, CRO/CDMO services, or laboratory technologies Critical Requirement • Demonstrated experience of DNA Encoded Library (DEL) technologies or services Professional Skills • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills • Strategic mindset with excellent analytical capabilities • Outstanding communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Attributes • Experience selling complex, high-value scientific services or platforms • Established network within pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations
