Lead and autonomously manage a large-scale grant-funded program focused on preventing gambling-related harm by coordinating stakeholders, developing deliverables, and monitoring outcomes.
Requires 3+ years project management experience, bachelor's degree, budget and timeline management skills, communication and collaboration abilities, familiarity with project management tools and data analysis platforms, and comfort with ambiguity.
At Kindbridge Research Institute (KRI), we are pioneering work in a space that's still taking shape—gambling-related mental health. As a non-profit at the intersection of research, behavioral health, and community well-being, KRI is leading efforts to better understand gambling behaviors and their impact on vulnerable populations such as veterans, service members, and young adults. Through partnerships with researchers, universities, and public health systems, we deliver data-driven solutions and outreach strategies that promote awareness, prevention, and access to care. We're seeking a Non-Profit Project Manager to lead the Financial Stability & Responsible Gambling Initiative (FSRG), a large-scale grant-funded program focused on preventing gambling-related harm. This role offers a rare opportunity to operate with real autonomy, shape a growing program, and become a key voice in a field that is rapidly gaining relevance. Whether you're ready to pivot into the gambling-related mental health space or want to deepen your impact in behavioral health and social impact work, this position is a chance to stretch your leadership skills and help build something meaningful from the ground up. Why This Role Matters: • You're passionate about mental health, financial well-being, and social impact, especially as it relates to overlooked or underserved populations. • You're excited by the chance to work in a space that's still being defined—with room to shape your role and make a lasting mark. • You're ready to lead multidisciplinary projects and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders including government official and partner organizations to drive high-quality research, education, and intervention programs that align with KRI's mission. • You thrive in dynamic, flexible environments where you're given autonomy to lead and innovate. Key Responsibilities: • Shape the FSRG initiative, exercising autonomy in programmatic decisions while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. • Oversee the development and distribution of program deliverables, such as toolkits, reports, and resources. • Facilitate stakeholder communication by organizing workshops, networking events, webinars, and roundtables. • Develop and implement systems to monitor program performance and measure outcomes. • Work closely with cross-functional teams—research, operations, and community development—to ensure program cohesion. • Engage with external stakeholders, including industry leaders, community organizations, and government partners, to strengthen collaborations. • Stay up to date on best practices in behavioral health, gambling harm, and prevention programming—and bring new ideas forward. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public health, finance, non-profit, project management, or a related field. • 3+ years of project management experience. • Proven ability to effectively manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills. • Experience working independently while managing multiple stakeholders and timelines. • Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Trello) and data analysis platforms (Excel, Tableau). • Comfort navigating ambiguity with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. • Familiarity with mental health, gambling-related issues, or financial harm a plus. Work Culture & Values: • Flexible & Remote-First: Colorado-based candidates preferred for occasional Denver-based meetings; role is primarily remote with limited travel (~10%). • Autonomous & Impact-Driven: We believe in giving our team members the trust, tools, and support to own their work. • Collaborative & Innovative: You'll be part of a dynamic, mission-driven team that values open communication, learning, and experimentation. This is more than a project—it's a platform to grow your career, explore new territory, and make a tangible impact. Come join us at KRI!
