We are seeking a full-time Jr. Staff Accountant to become a part of our dynamic, collaborative, and growing team. You will report directly to the Controller and work within our collaborative finance team. Responsibilities: • Work with finance team on timely completion of month end close. • Prepare and post general ledger journals including revenue, bad debt reserve, intercompany expense, prepaid expense, accruals, and other ledger activity as needed. • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the financial statements and other information reported to internal and external users. • Maintaining fixed assets; includes asset additions, disposals, sales, and monthly depreciation. • Reconcile and record daily cash. • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations. • Finance ad hoc reporting and projects. • Back up various accounting functions as needed. • Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures. • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure proper coding of expenses. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while achieving department goals and objectives. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in accounting OR associate degree AND two years of full-cycle accounting experience. • Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting. • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills to include pivot tables and v-lookups. • Strong attention to detail. • Strong team player in a close-knit environment. • Naturally attuned to servicing all reasonable needs of other parties as they come. Must understand that Accounting is a service provider for all other aspects of the business, and be willing to take on new priorities accordingly. • Able to work effectively in an environment that may have variable volumes over time, and in new areas of technical Accounting as required by changes in the business. • Willingness to learn and move forward in capability as presented by Supervising Controllers. • Personal transparency in all things required by the business, with exception only to Accounting information and procedures that are for limited personnel knowledge only (i.e. payroll, any acquisition efforts, all information to be included in Corporate Public filing documents, all Human Resource information, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other General Ledger system. • Knowledge of reviewing financial statements and reconciling accounts. • Fixed Asset accounting.
