At least one year prior care coordinator experience, ability to commute between clinics, strong communication skills, and preferably previous clinical experience.
Nephrology Practice urgently hiring a medical assistant. to be considered for this position you must have at least one year of prior experience with care coordinator role, being the liaison between hospital and clinic patients. Responsibilities: Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check - in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patients records and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients. check - out patients, assist with referral processing and arrange laboratory services Prepare patients for examination, take vitals and record patient's health history Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patients Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures and exams Coordinate with the office manager and work as per the set practice processes. Work the front desk on clinic days, collect patient copays and pending patient balances Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patient and families Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Maintain a good behavior and positive attitude towards colleagues and patients. communication with hospital patients to schedule hospital follow ups. Requirements: Ability to commute between satellite clinics (required) Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment Previous clinical experience is preferred Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
