Financial Controller / Executive Assistant POASCH Commercial LTD. — Charlotte, NC Full-Time | On-Site | 40 hrs/week We are seeking a highly capable, detail-oriented, execution-driven badass to support our executive team and lead core financial bookkeeping functions. POASCH Commercial is partnered with and involved in: • Flying Biscuit Franchising, Inc. — A 30-year restaurant franchise with 40 locations across the Southeast • Kid Cashew — A Mediterranean wood-fire grill with 3 locations in 3 states • Investments in 10 AirBnBs • A growing beverage brand preparing for scale • Four restaurants currently in development • Additional consulting, marketing, and real estate ventures This role directly supports these active and expanding operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial & Accounting (30% of time) • Manage QuickBooks at an expert level • Handle AP & AR across multiple companies • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports • Conduct month-end reconciliations • File monthly sales tax across multiple jurisdictions • Review payroll for accuracy • Track recurring expenses, vendor billing, memberships, and subscriptions • Work with managers to interpret P&L statements and produce actionable insights • Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial documentation Executive Assistant Responsibilities (30% of time) • Provide high-level administrative coordination for the executive team • Manage calendars, scheduling, travel arrangements, and priorities • Organize and maintain digital files and operational documentation • Prepare reports, summaries, and materials for executive review • Establish and maintain vendor accounts and relationships • Create and manage government accounts (IRS, Departments of Revenue, licensing, sales tax portals) • Communicate with agencies to resolve filings and compliance requirements • Assist with development, operations, and openings across restaurants, real estate, franchising, and new projects • Execute tasks with accuracy, urgency, and consistency in a dynamic environment One-Time Projects (30% of time) • This can range from setting up utility accounts for AirBnB rentals to updating restaurant collateral and bidding out menu printing jobs. Project Management (10%) • Here, you will help coordinate and follow up with all direct reports (marketing team, sales team, managers, IT), ensuring dealines are met and projects are moving forward as expected. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Tech and Accounting (we're not looking for a programmer or a CPA, just someone who knows how to use a computer very well and someone who knows bookkeeping ) • Expert-level Excel, Microsoft 365, and QuickBooks • High-Proficieny ont he Computer- general knowledge of technology, software applications, etc. • Strong accounting and bookkeeping foundation • Excellent organizational and project management capabilities Execution-Driven (the goal is get it done! move fast and fix things as we can) • Thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment • Manages daily, weekly, monthly, and one-off tasks simultaneously • Completes assignments accurately and on time Savvy & Bold (we don't have time for layers of management, we need someone who can become a part of the team and hold everyone accountable) • Confident communicator with executives, agencies, vendors, and managers • Resourceful decision-maker with strong problem-solving ability • Learns new systems quickly and applies the 80/20 rule for efficiency ROLE DETAILS • Full-time, on-site in Charlotte, NC • Approx. 40 hours per week • Direct support to the General Partner and executive leadership • Direct Reports to Executive Team: 5 General Managers, Marketing Team, IT, Ops • Significant exposure to multiple industries and projects • Opportunity to grow with a fast-moving, expanding organization COMPENSATION Compensation is based on experience.
