RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce is looking for a Lead Mobile Software Engineer for a remote, contract opportunity with a large organization in the downtown Kansas City, MO area. The Lead Mobile Software Engineer will drive the development of native mobile applications for iOS and Android. This role is focused on hands-on engineering, collaborating with internal teams, and delivering high-quality solutions within defined project scopes. Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver robust native mobile applications using Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement business requirements • Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for security, usability, and performance • Integrate third-party SDKs, APIs, and platform services as needed • Contribute to the design and implementation of reusable code components • Ensure deliverables meet project specifications and timelines REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience in mobile development with a portfolio of native iOS and Android apps • Proficiency in Swift (including SwiftUI), Kotlin (including Jetpack Compose), and platform-specific tools (Xcode, Android Studio) • Experience with supporting libraries such as Core Data, Combine, Foundation (iOS), and Room, Hilt, Coroutines (Android) • Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Fastlane, Bitrise, Github Actions, and ADO CI/CD • Experience with automated testing frameworks: Junit, Espresso, XCTest, MokK, Roboelectric, Swift Testing • Strong understanding of analytics and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Adobe Analytics, as well as crash reporting, and A/B testing • Experience with feature flagging (Launch Darkly), push notifications (Airship), and distribution management (Firebase) • Experience using AI-powered development tools (Github Copilot, OpenAI Codex, IntelliJ) • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Prior experience as a technical lead for a mobile application or product The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
