About the Role We are seeking a driven and personable Entry-Level Outside Sales Representative to join our office technology sales team. In this role, you will focus on generating new business opportunities for our copier, printer, and document management solutions. This will be done via field lead generation visiting businesses. This position is ideal for someone eager to launch a sales career in a fast-paced B2B environment, with extensive hands-on training in both product knowledge and professional selling. Key Responsibilities • Conduct door-to-door outreach, and in-person prospecting to identify businesses that can benefit from upgraded copier, printer, and workflow solutions. • The position is split between field work and office time, with about 80% of the day spent driving to visit prospective clients in Austin and the remaining 20% working from our Austin office located near The Domain. • Build initial relationships with office managers, IT staff, purchasing teams, and business owners. • Maintain accurate records of leads, activity levels, and client interactions in the CRM system. • Achieve weekly and monthly activity goals, including field calls and visits. • Track competitive equipment in the field. • Represent the company professionally during visits with prospects. • Work closely with senior account executives and managers. • Other projects as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus. • Ability to handle rejection and remain persistent in lead-generation activities. • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Willingness and confidence to conduct in-person visits daily. • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively. • Interest in technology and ability to learn product features. • Reliable transportation for daily travel within the assigned territory. • Basic computer skills; familiarity with CRM tools a plus.
