Location: 127 Public Square, Cleveland Ohio Job Summary This role is responsible for supporting the Data Owners. The Data Owner is accountable for the data quality (DQ) and management, which entails implementing and adhering to applicable Enterprise Data and Analytics Management (ED&AM) standards. This accountability includes identifying, defining, maintaining, certifying, archiving, and disposing of data. Additionally, Data Owners are accountable to disposition any data observations, including observations resulting from CDE certification. The Data Analyst is responsible for the Data Quality dashboard reviews including triage and routing to a resolution team who is responsible for completing the work and rule updates. Ability to review and understand results, research, and resolution assignments. The team will be accountable for escalating to Data Owners of the insights and recommendations for resolution. Data Owner Team members are responsible for the implementation of standards and processes. They oversee and manage all data quality-related activities. Responsibilities • Senior Analyst requires deep technical skills to understand the Data Quality rules, read and understand SQL, perform data research (ability to learn/understand the data in each platform and write/execute SQL to understand root cause of issues), and interface with data remediation teams to communicate research and assign work for resolution. • Monitoring, triaging, resolution and escalation of data observations. • Participate and support Critical Data Element (CDE) and Essential Data Element certification process. • Understand Critical Uses, Inventory Essential Uses, Assess Compensating Controls, Inventory EDEs and Data Quality monitoring/triage. • Autonomously complete all reports and research tasks assigned to ensure accurate and timely review and completion of actions required. • Accountable to disposition any data observations, including observations resulting from CDE certification. • Accountable that any Data observations are identified/ rectified/ resolved. • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of policies, procedures and/or processes and make the appropriate recommendations to management. Qualifications • Analytic & research skills including ability to organize information in clear, consistent format, Capacity to develop ability to articulate a clear, well-thought-out message and formal delivery, ability to build relationships, partner, and influence • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with support partners • Oral and written communication skills • Data Analyst skills and Data Profiling skills • SQL Skills (ability to implement and monitor data quality rule in DQ tooling and use SQL to profile and troubleshoot) • Effective communicator at various Org levels. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) in Data Analytics, Business Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Statistics (or other related field) with at least 6 years of relevant experience or Master's degree (or its equivalent) in Data Analytics, Business Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Statistics (or other related field) with at least 4 years of relevant experience Proficient in: • Advanced Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint • Intermediate/advanced query writing/coding including complex joins • Intermediate/advanced data visualization • Analytical programming languages • Report and process automation Knowledge or Skill in: • Source systems • Process flow • Project Management • Navigation of data warehouse and/or data supply chain Expected Competencies Communication: Solid written and verbal communication skills; organizes material for brevity, persuasiveness, and impact; Effectively communicates key points to respective stakeholders, with the right amount of detail; Proactively shares information beyond those at the table who may have a need to know; Comfortable in situations where conflict is present; Demonstrated presentation development and delivery skills; Ability to create presentations that include the right data/information and tell the right story Leadership: Emerging leader across team; Serves as a role model - may coach and develop others; Provides direction / mentorship to junior staff Partnering / Influencing: Proven relationship building ability; Strong interpersonal skills; Can lead the conversation with business partners; Sought out to by business partners and team members; May coach and develop relationship building skills in others; Developing comfort with influencing and consulting typically with mid-level leaders Business Acumen: Understands assigned LOB strategy; Knows our industry, competition, and competitive environment; Possesses intellectual curiosity; Understands key drivers of financial results and business impact; Developing understanding of how business works Critical Thinking / Problem Solving: Leverages critical thinking and business acumen to provide solutions to increasingly more complex problems; Ties work with understanding of impacts / intersections with other business partners / LOB; Aware of potential pitfalls with each recommended solution; thoroughly vets and thinks through options before making a decision. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 to $115,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
