Location: 4910 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn Ohio Job Summary The Master Engineer own, oversee, and drive the strategy of the design, delivery, automation, and support of infrastructure services and solutions; lead and influence cross-functional teams and stake-holder relationships. Essential Functions • Sets best practices and independently builds, maintains, and documents infrastructure components for work assigned; performs reviews for all levels of engineer. • Drives and architects the overall health, performance, availability, and resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms. • Owns training program for junior engineers; welcomes and encourages upward feedback and perspectives from all levels of engineer. • Evaluates and makes decisions on new technologies and how they fit with current environments, applications, or platforms; works cross-functionally to find synergies. • Recommends and influences IT standards (e.g. info security, audit, compliance, etc.). • Develops strategies for building and maintaining new and existing solutions and capabilities; owns the recommended technologies, maintains budget constraints, and ensures communication and awareness of implemented technology. • Creates, reviews, and approves technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to deliver: mature monitoring, improved resiliency, and high availability. • Defines high-level infrastructure architectural guidelines and articulate reasoning and trade-offs for choices to business owners. • Drives, formulates and designs complex solutions to meet business needs and communicates cross-functionally to ensure viability of solutions. • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key. Education • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) • OR equivalent experience (required) Work Experience • 7+ years of relevant experience (required) Skills • Extensive Experience with effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. • Extensive Experience with effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. • Extensive Experience with the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. • Extensive Experience with business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. • Extensive Experience with effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. • Working Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. • Expert knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation. • Expert knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms. • Extensive Experience with availability management; ability to utilize strategies and tools to ensure the timely availability of business data and applications. • Working Knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications. • Expert knowledge of Information Technology (IT) systems; ability to utilize a variety of system tools, guarantee service availability, and ensure optimal IT system performance. • Working Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) standards and policies; ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to manage organizational IT policies, standards, and procedures. • Expert knowledge of emerging technologies; ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for business environments. Work Location Category • Hybrid (2+ days) COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $94,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
