Account Manager – Additives (Packaging Market) – Southeast U.S. Location: Southeast U.S. (Remote within territory) Overview We are seeking an Account Manager to drive commercial growth for performance additives used across the packaging industry. The ideal candidate has experience selling chemicals to the packaging manufacturers and can translate technical product value into customer solutions. This role will manage existing accounts, develop new business, and support technical/commercial initiatives across the Southeast U.S. Key Responsibilities • Manage and expand accounts in the packaging and converting markets • Sell additives and performance materials into plastics, films, flexible packaging, and related applications • Identify new business opportunities with converters, processors, compounders, and packaging manufacturers • Partner with technical teams to support customer trials, formulation discussions, and troubleshooting • Develop territory strategy, forecasting, and competitive positioning • Maintain CRM discipline, travel throughout the region, and manage key relationships Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar (preferred) • 2–7+ years of technical sales, account management, or commercial experience • Experience with additives, polymers, plastics, packaging materials, or related markets required • Strong relationship-building and territory development skills • Ability to manage a multi-state territory with regular travel Keywords: additives, packaging, plastics, polymers, film, flexible packaging, specialty chemicals, technical sales, territory sales, account management, Southeast.
