Role Overview: As a Bilingual Healthcare Services Representative I in our Patient Access Center, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth scheduling and access to healthcare services. Your role is vital in providing courteous, efficient, and comprehensive support to patients, helping them navigate their appointments and healthcare needs effectively. What You'll Do: - You will schedule patient appointments promptly and courteously using our PC-based systems. - You will confirm appointments and manage cancellations efficiently to optimize scheduling. - You will problem-solve patient concerns by utilizing available resources and providing clear guidance. - You will provide comprehensive service to facilitate patient access and satisfaction. - You will communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to assist a diverse patient population. - You will maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times. - You will collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to coordinate patient care. - You will handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a positive experience. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a healthcare customer service or patient access role. - Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong computer skills, including experience with scheduling software and electronic health records. - Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Exceptional interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach. - Problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness in addressing patient needs. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a multi-specialty clinic or hospital setting. - Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance processes. - Certification in Medical Office Administration or related field. - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
